First Home Buyer Concessions — Australian Capital Territory
The ACT Home Buyer Concession Scheme (HBCS) provides up to $35,238 off conveyance duty for eligible buyers (2025–26). Properties at or below $1,020,000 pay $0 duty. Above $1,020,000, a fixed $35,238 concession applies, reducing to zero above ~$1,455,000. Eligibility is income-tested (household income thresholds apply) and requires no property ownership in the last 5 years.
